Kathy graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education from Brigham Young University. She taught accounting, keyboarding, shorthand, and various other business subjects for 32 years in the Anaheim Union High School District in Anaheim, California. The last 28 years of that time were spent at John F. Kennedy High School where she was also an advisor for the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) organization.
Returning to Utah, Kathy began working part-time for a dental office in July 2001 and was able to put into practice the skills she had taught as a teacher in California. Her duties included processing accounts payable payments, generating payroll checks, preparing quarterly payroll reports, completing and distributing W-2s and 1099s, and reconciling bank statements.
In October 2003, part-time work became available at Scott Marsh Financial preparing payroll reports and processing account payable payments. Currently, she is the Office Administrator and continues to perform accounting tasks along with assisting in tax return preparation, scheduling client appointments, answering incoming inquiries, and taking care of other clerical duties in the office.
